  1. Working principle is different

1.Cnc Milling 

 The machine tools used for milling are horizontal milling machines or vertical milling machines, as well as large portal milling machines. These machine tools can be ordinary machine tools or CNC machine tools. Use a rotating iron knife as a cutting tool. Milling is generally carried out on a milling machine or a boring machine, which is suitable for processing planes, grooves, various forming surfaces (such as splines, gears and threads) and special shapes of molds.

2.Cnc Turning

 

During turning, the workpiece is driven by the main shaft of the machine tool to rotate for the main movement; the turning tool clamped on the tool holder is for the feed movement. The cutting speed v is the linear speed (m/min) at the point of contact between the machined surface of the rotating workpiece and the turning tool; the depth of cut is the vertical distance (mm) between the workpiece surface to be machined and the machined surface during each cutting stroke. When cutting and forming turning, it is the contact length (mm) between the turning tool and the workpiece perpendicular to the feed direction.

2、Different features

1.Turning means that lathe processing is a part of mechanical processing. Lathe processing mainly uses a turning tool to turn a rotating workpiece. Lathes are mainly used for machining shafts, discs, sleeves and other workpieces with rotating surfaces. It is the most widely used type of CNC machining in machinery manufacturing and repairing factories.

 

2.The CNC lathe can process the complex shape of the revolving body. Milling is to fix the blank, and use a high-speed rotating milling cutter to move on the blank to cut out the required shapes and features. Traditional milling is mostly used to mill simple shape features such as contours and grooves.

Turning is continuous cutting, and both planing and milling are intermittent cutting. The continuous cutting efficiency is high, the surface roughness level is high, and the machining accuracy is also high; the interrupted cutting efficiency is low, the surface roughness level is low, and the machining accuracy is also low. The cost of turning man-hours is also lower. Lathe processing is a part of mechanical processing. Lathe processing mainly uses a turning tool to turn a rotating workpiece. Drills, reamers, reamers, taps, dies and knurling tools can also be used on the lathe for corresponding processing. Lathes are mainly used for machining shafts, discs, sleeves and other workpieces with rotating surfaces.

 

Turning is a method of cutting the workpiece on the lathe by rotating the workpiece relative to the tool. The cutting energy of turning is mainly provided by the workpiece rather than the tool
