1.How to improve the deformation for CNC machining PC?
As a popular CNC machined plastic material, Polycarbonate or PC could be well CNC machined, CNC turned, CNC milled, CNC drilled, however, the melting point of PC is only about 120 degrees, So the production method is different with aluminum, steel, and other metals material, otherwise, they will be easily deformed in the production, here we would like to share 2 tips to avoid the deformation. Annealing Polycarbonate PC has excellent impact strength; small creep and good dimensional stability, higher heat resistance. However, PC materials have low fatigue strength, are prone to stress cracking, have a small allowable long-term use load, and have poor wear resistance. Therefore, annealing is crucial if you want a quality, precision machined part out of the stock shape. The annealing process at Worthy Hardware greatly reduces the chances of these stresses occurring from the heat generated during machining PC. Meanwhile, we have improved the CNC processing technology to avoid cracking, and the light transmittance reaches 80%, which is close to plexiglass.
