I. Classified according to the functional level of the CNC system
According to the functional level of the numerical control system, the numerical control system is usually divided into three categories: low, medium and high. This classification method is used more in our country. The boundaries of low, medium, and high grades are relative, and the criteria for classification will be different in different periods. Based on the current development level, various types of CNC systems can be divided into three categories: low, medium, and high-end according to some functions and indicators. Among them, the medium and high-end are generally called full-function CNC or standard CNC.
⑴ Metal cutting
Refers to CNC machine that use various cutting techniques such as turning, milling, bumping, reaming, drilling, grinding, and planing. It can be divided into the following two categories.
A. Ordinary CNC machine tools such as CNC lathes, CNC milling machines, CNC grinders, etc.
B. Machining center Its main feature is the tool magazine with automatic tool changer, and the workpiece is passed through once. After clamping, by automatically changing various tools, the machining surfaces of the workpiece are continuously milled (turned) key, reamed, drilled, tapped and other processes are processed on the same machine tool, such as (building/milling) processing Center, turning center, drilling center, etc.
⑵ Metal forming
Refers to CNC machine that adopt forming processes such as extrusion, punching, pressing, and drawing. Commonly used are CNC presses, CNC bending machines, CNC pipe benders, CNC spinning machines, etc.
⑶ Special processing
Mainly include CNC wire cutting machine, CNC EDM machine, CNC flame cutting machine, CNC laser processing machine and so on.
I. According to the number of linkage axes
The numerical control system controls several coordinate axes to coordinate movement at the same time according to the required functional relationship, which is called coordinate linkage. According to the number of linkage axes, it can be divided into:
1. Two-axis semi-linkage adds Z-axis movement based on two-axis. When the X and Y axes of the machine tool coordinate system are fixed, the Z axis can perform periodic feed. Two-axis semi-linked machining can realize layered machining.
2. The two-axis linkage CNC machine tool can control the linkage of two coordinate axes at the same time, which is suitable for CNC lathe processing of rotating surfaces or CNC milling machine for milling plane contours.
3. The three-axis linkage CNC machine tool can control the linkage of three coordinate axes at the same time, which is used for the processing of general curved surfaces. General cavity molds can be processed by three-axis.
4. Five-axis linkage: In addition to the simultaneous control of the X/Y/Z three fertile line coordinate axis linkages. It also controls two of the A, B, and C coordinate axes rotating around these linear coordinate axes at the same time, forming a simultaneous control of five axis linkage. At this time, the tool can be set in any direction in the space. For example, control the tool to swing around the x-axis and the Y-axis at the same time, so that the tool always maintains the normal direction of the contour surface to be processed at its cutting point, to ensure the smoothness of the processed surface and improve its processing accuracy and processing.
